All Day Attraction Suggestions

Since San Diego is full of amazing attractions, we suggest that you spend time before or after the Meet to explore some of these, or all, in order to enjoy the attractions and not be pressed for time during the Meet.

Sea World  literally a stone’s throw from The Dana on Mission Bay, our Meet hotel!


Want to go deep sea fishing? You can walk to the dock from The Dana on Mission Bay, our Meet hotel. Seaforth Landing


World Famous San Diego Zoo Combine the Zoo with Balboa Park. Leave your car parked in the Zoo parking lot. Check out the attractions at Balboa Park: Balboa Park


A Day at the Bay. You can’t go wrong spending time at the San Diego Harbor attractions. USS Midway Museum After exploring the USS Midway walk to the nearby Maritime Museum If a Harbor Cruise is your fancy, there are several to choose from in the area. Shopping? Of course, that and restaurants at Seaport Village again, walking distance.


 

Old Town San Diego is another favorite tourist location. Restaurants and shops abound with a focus on Mexican foods, arts and crafts. Located in Old Town is a unique Model Railroad Depot where the kid comes out in you. Also, there is a Railroad Museum in Balboa Park (see link above).


Just minutes from The Dana on Mission Bay, our Meet hotel is the Birch Aquarium and then you can take a short drive to La Jolla home to many art galleries, shops, and scenic ocean views.


NORTH COUNTY All of these attractions are approximately a 45-minute drive north from The Dana on Mission Bay, our Meet hotel.

Part of the San Diego Zoo is the World-Famous San Diego Safari Park where many animals roam freely replicating a true African Safari experience. This venue is located in north county near Escondido.

Belmont Park is very close to The Dana on Mission Bay, our Meet hotel and right on the Pacific Ocean. It’s a small amusement park but great fun.
